About the Director

Spirit of Jesus Ministries is directed by Robert T. Koehler, a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ, resident of Tampa, Florida, and member of Bayshore Baptist Church. Robert was dedicated by his parents to the Lord on July 29, 1990, at First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace. He grew up attending New Tampa Baptist Church, where he was baptized on November 24, 2002 (aged 12). Robert's call to ministry was shaped deeply by his family's faith legacy. He was ordained into the Christian ministry on September 10, 2012, by Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries, a small non-denominational church in Hephzibah, Georgia. On October 30, 2020, he launched Spirit of Jesus Ministries, an independent church chartered by Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries. Robert earned his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the Saint Luke Evangelical School of Biblical Studies on December 30, 2020. Robert and his wife Chrissy joined Bayshore Baptist Church on January 30, 2022, and were married there on April 22 of the same year.

Robert is honored to currently serve as the Chaplain of the Saint Petersburg Chapter, Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution (Terms: 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026).
